Privacy Policy

PermitPress is a service operated by Active Margin Group LLC (“PermitPress,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain English wherever possible.

What we collect

We collect information in three ways:

• You give it to us. When you submit our lead form, email us, or talk to us, we collect your name, company, phone number, email, and the details you share about your shop.
• Automatically, via cookies and analytics. When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers receive standard information your browser sends — IP address, device type, referring page, the pages you view, and approximate location.
• From service providers. Our form host (Formspree) relays your submissions to us; our analytics providers process the page-view data described above.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and follow up about PermitPress.
• To contact you by phone, email, or SMS — including via automated systems and AI assistants — about onboarding, scheduling, or product updates you have asked for.
• To understand which marketing channels and pages bring useful visitors to the site.
• To detect abuse, debug errors, and keep the site running properly.

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying STOP to a text, unsubscribing from an email, or asking us. Contact you have explicitly requested (e.g., a demo you scheduled) is not affected.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to improve the site. The tools we currently use, or may use, include:

• PostHog — product analytics (page views, clicks, session replays anonymized to remove form input).
• Google Analytics — aggregated traffic and acquisition reporting.
• Meta Pixel — to measure ad performance and reach people similar to our customers on Meta-owned platforms.

We may add or replace analytics and marketing tools over time. When we do, we will update this list. You can decline non-essential cookies via the cookie banner on first visit, or by using your browser’s “do not track” or cookie controls.

What we do not do

• We don’t sell your personal information. Not your name, not your email, not your phone number — to anyone.
• We don’t share your contact info with advertisers. Marketing-platform pixels see browsing behavior, not your form submissions.
• We don’t use your job or permit data for marketing. If you become a customer, your operational data is used to deliver the service — that’s it.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers who need it to run the service on our behalf — for example, our form host, our hosting provider (Vercel), our analytics tools, our email and SMS providers, and any AI assistants that help us schedule and follow up. These providers are bound by contract to use information only for the purposes we direct.

We may also share information when required by law (e.g., a valid subpoena), to protect our rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Email hello@permitpress.comand we’ll respond within 30 days. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and similar states have additional rights under their state privacy laws — those are honored on the same process.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for credentials, and access controls. No system is perfect; if we ever discover a breach affecting you, we’ll notify you and the appropriate regulators promptly.

Children

PermitPress is a B2B service. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

We’ll update this policy as we add tools or features. The effective date above tells you when this version was published. Big changes will be announced to active customers.
